synopsis

The protagonist in the movie is a man who tries to  survive in the harsh conditions, which existed for   Jews under Roman rule. He is in constant internal conflict: whether to follow his own truth or obey traditions of his people. In case he is true to himself he will perish. But if he foolows the tradition, he will survive betraying himself.​
