synopsis

 

In 1949, the whole Russia, what the heck – the whole World! – was celebrating the Stalin’s 70th birthday with incredible scale.

Hero of an anniversary was getting the gifts, which were sent as the sign of love and loyalty. The most valuable masterpieces of art, the gifts of the influential politicians from abroad, the naive handcrafted gifts of the simple people of the world, the works of the famous artists - there were so many gifts, that the rooms of two Moscow museums were cleared for their deployment.

The film demonstrates the materials of newsreels about the exhibition of the gifts to Stalin, whose value is estimated at hundreds of millions of dollars.
